ABOUT YVONNE MCGUINNESS

Notable for her prints and video art installations, she is perhaps most famous as the wife of screen actor Cillian Murphy .

She earned her master's degree from London's Royal College of Art.

Much of her artwork touches upon the tension between the artist's desire for self revelation and his or her contradictory impulse to hide what is most personal.

She and Cillian Murphy married in 2004 and welcomed their first child, Malachy , in late 2005 and their second son, Aran, in mid-2007. Her uncle John J. McGuinness had a prominent political career in Ireland.

She is a contemporary of fellow Irish artist Daphne Guinness .
