ABOUT XAVIER OUELLET

Professional defenseman that was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings during the second round of the 2011 NHL Draft. He later played for the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Montreal Canadiens during his NHL career. He is also a two-time all-star in the American Hockey League.

As a child growing up, he often played in the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament. He later joined the Montreal Juniors as a teenager.

He made his official NHL debut playing against the San Jose Sharks on October 21, 2013, as a member of the Red Wings. He played in 21 games with the Red Wings during his rookie season.
