ABOUT TRACIE MCGOVERN

Former midfielder and defender that played for the Newcastle Jets during her five-year professional career. She also played for the Australian women's national team. After retiring, she founded the sports media platform The Australian Sportswoman. She took on this role after retiring from the mining industry, where she was an underground safety adviser and captain of the mines rescue squad.

She initially began her youth soccer career at the young age of five. She played with Wauchope FC up until the year 1993.
