ABOUT SIMEON WOODS RICHARDSON
Professional pitcher that was drafted by the New York Mets during the second round of the 2018 Major League Draft. He was later acquired by the Minnesota Twins via trade in July 2021. He won a silver medal as a member of Team USA during the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
He is a graduate of Kempner High School in Sugar Land, Texas. Originally, he had plans of going to the University of Texas , but instead he decided to sign a professional contract with the Mets.
He made his official major league debut pitching against the Detroit Tigers on October 2, 2022 as a member of the Twins. He pitched five innings and recorded three strikeouts. He also has played for the Toronto Blue Jays , in between his stints for the Mets and Twins.
He is a native of Sugar Land, Texas.
He was drafted during the 2018 MLB Draft just like Jonathan India and Kyler Murray .
