ABOUT SIGURD MOE
Best recognized as one of Stavanger's visual artists during the 1800s.
His drawing teacher Bernhard Hanson inspired him to draw. He later studied under marine painter Benetter.
His paintings are described in Gabriel Schanche Hidle's book "Profiles and Palettes."
He had a brother named Haakon.
He and Slava Raskaj were both painters.
