ABOUT SEDAT SAHIN
Convicted Turkish criminal leader who is best known for his political views based on Pan-Turkism. He was prosecuted for protection racketeering, coercion, and incitement to murder along with being found guilty of building a criminal organization.
A noted Turanist, he was initially tried for the murder of a drug smuggler before fleeing to Romania for protection. In August of 1998, he was brought back to Turkey where he served eight months and 29 days. He was arrested again in May of 2005 for Operation Butterfly and again in August of 2013 for the underground organization Ergenekon.
He gave an extensive interview with Action Magazine about his political past and prison sentencing in April of 2011.
He married his lawyer Ozge Yilmaz in May of 2008.
He and Recep Tayyip Erdogan are known for their Turkish nationalism and ideals based off Pan-Turkism.
