ABOUT ROBERT FLEMING
Canadian composer and teacher known for his musical contributions to more than two hundred films, including the Canada At War documentary series.
He was a piano teacher who made his professional music debut at Darke Hall in Regina in 1940.
The Canada Council for the Arts honors him annually by awarding the Robert Fleming Prize to the most talented young musicians.
He studied with his mother in Saskatoon at a young age.
He and Irish composer Brian Boydell studied under the same teacher at the Royal College of Music.
