First gained fame on the popular app Vine, surpassing 400 million loops on the platform in the summer of 2016 thanks to her hilarious content. She later transitioned to YouTube, earning over 1.3 million subscribers to her Not Even Emily channel. On YouTube, she has posted a mix of singing videos, cultural commentary and sketches.

She posted her very first video to Vine in November of 2013. The video featured lyrics from the One Direction song "More Than This."

She is a consumer of pop culture as an avid viewer of the newest movies and shows. She plays guitar, piano, drums, and ukulele and is also a talented artist.

She posted a Vine in May of 2014 called "My sister doesn't get my music taste! Ugh >:-(."

For one of her drawings, she drew Aubrey Plaza and Chris Pratt as April and Andy from Parks and Recreation .
