ABOUT NIGEL MARTYN
English goalkeeper who played professionally from 1987 to 2006, most notably for Crystal Palace and Leeds United. He won a total of 23 caps for England and was named the Leeds United Player of the Year in 1997.
He was born in St. Austell and played amateur soccer for Heavy Transport, Bugle and St Blazey.
He was included on the Football League Third Division PFA Team of the Year five times from 1988-89 to 1999-00.
He married a woman named Amanda.
He was teammates with David Beckham on the English squad at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
