ABOUT NATHAN ROGERS

Known for folk albums such as The Gauntlet and Dry Bones, this Canadian recording artist and songwriter collaborated with Leonard and Mitch Podolak and Catherine MacLellan, among other Canadian musicians.

After completing his education at Westdale Secondary School in Ontario, he settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba and recorded his first album, True Stories.

He trained in the Tuvan and Mongolian tradition of throat singing.

He was born in Hamilton, Ontario, to Ariel Rogers and folk songwriter Stan Rogers. He was just four years old when his father tragically died in an air disaster.

As a child, he was inspired by the work of such 1960s songwriters as Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell .
