ABOUT MICHELE MERLO
Singer-songwriter who rose to fame after competing on the Italian talent show program Amici. After the show, he went on to release two full-length studio albums titled Cinemaboy and Cuori Stupidi.
He competed on the tenth season of Italy's The X Factor prior to competing on Amici.
While competing on Amici, he performed under the professional moniker Mike Bird, which was a direct English translation of his name.
In June of 2021, he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage caused by fulminant leukemia.
He competed on Amici, which was hosted by Maria De Filippi .
