ABOUT MICHAEL BAY

Blockbuster filmmaker best known for directing the Transformers series. His other well known features include Armageddon , The Rock , Bad Boys , The Island , and Pearl Harbor .

He began his professional career as a director working on music videos as well as commercials.

He received an MTV Movie Award for Best Action Sequence for three separate films: Pearl Harbor, Bad Boys II , and The Rock.

He was raised by his adoptive parents Harriet, a bookstore owner and child psychiatrist, and Jim, a CPA.

He and producer Jerry Bruckheimer became longtime friends and business partners.
