ABOUT MELODY
Spanish singer famous for Latin pop hits like "El Baile del Gorila," "De Pata Negra" and "Mucho Camino Por Andar." Her first album, 2001's De Pata Negra, earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Children's Album.
As a child, she received classical training in guitar and piano.
She appeared in the 2015 romantic comedy Ahora o Nunca. She represented Spain in the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest with her song "Esa Diva".
She is the daughter of dancer Ana Gutiérrez and singer Los Kiyos Lorenzo Ruiz. She has a brother named Eleazar.
She came in second to Soraya Arnelas for the chance to represent Spain at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest .
