ABOUT MASON J. TAYLOR
Athlete and 2025 second rounder that was taken by the New York Jets during the NFL Draft. While at Louisiana State University from 2022 until 2024, he primarily played the position of tight end. As a junior, he earned All-SEC honors.
He is a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
During his high school career, he was considered the seventh best tight end in his class. Following his junior season, he caught 55 passes, which is a LSU program record for tight ends. He also finished his collegiate career as LUS all-time leader in career receptions and receiving yards by a tight end.
He is a native of the Plantation, Florida area. His father, baseballplayer.html">taylor.html">Jason Taylor , and uncle, Zach Thomas , both played in the NFL as well.
He is a former LSU collegiate football player just like Odell Beckham Jr. , Leonard Fournette and singer.html">Joe Burrow .
