ABOUT MARIA THORISDOTTIR
Professional club defender that was originally signed by the Norwegian soccer team Klepp IL in 2010. Since then, she has played for English Premier League clubs Chelsea FC and Manchester United . She is an Adidas-sponsored athlete.
She initially began playing soccer as a member of the Klepp IF youth club. She was also given the opportunity to play for Norway's U15, U16, U17 and U20 teams.
In addition to her professional club career, she has also played for the Norwegian women's national team. She played for Norway during the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, the 2017 UEFA Women's EuroCup, and the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.
She grew up living with her family in Stavanger, Norway. She was born of Norwegian and Icelandic descent.
She has played for Manchester United during her professional club career just like Paul Pogba and Cristiano Ronaldo .
