ABOUT MARIA KHOREVA
Russian ballet dancer known as a first soloist of the Mariinsky Ballet since 2018. She has performed Masha in The Nutcracker and Princess Aurora in the Sleeping Beauty.
She started rhythmic gymnastics class at age 3. She auditioned for the Vaganova Ballet Academy at age ten.
She has been named a Nike ambassador.
Her parents were both ballet fans who took her to see performances. She has a younger sister who also trained at the Vaganova Ballet Academy.
Her teacher at the Vaganova Ballet Academy was ballet legend Lyudmila Kovaleva, who also trained Bolshoi principal Olga Smirnova .
