Major league middle infielder that was originally signed by the San Diego Padres as an international free agent 2013. Since then, he has played baseball professionally in the Milwaukee Brewers , Boston Red Sox , Seattle Mariners and Oakland Athletics organizations. He is also a member of the Mexican men's national baseball team.
He initially began his professional baseball career with the Dominican Summer League Padres. He was later promoted to the Arizona League Padres.
He made his official major league debut while playing against the Seattle Mariners on August 28, 2018. Just one day later, he collected his first MLB hit.
He is a native of Magdalena de Kino, Mexico. His brother, Ramón Urías , is also a professional baseball player.
He was once packaged in a trade that also included Trent Grisham .
