ABOUT LLOYD MUMPHORD

Former defensive back who was part of the undefeated Super Bowl champion 1972 Miami Dolphins and set career and single-season records for the most punts and kicks blocked.

He played college football at Texas Southern University.

He played 10 pro seasons, with the Dolphins from 1969 to 1974 and the Baltimore Colts from 1975 to 1978.

He grew up with his family in Los Angeles, California.

He played for head coach Don Shula in Miami.
