ABOUT LEE GURGA
Chicago-born haiku poet whose literary works include Autumn Mosquito and Fresh Scent. He also penned a haiku-writing manual entitled Haiku: A Poet's Guide.
To support his passion for haiku writing, he worked as a dentist.
He edited Modern Haiku Magazine from 2002-2006.
He was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and he studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
He served as president of the Haiku Society of America. Anatoly Kudryavitsky founded the Irish equivalent of this society in 2006.
