His father was a professional NFL player, and he grew up in a very athletic family. He joined Instagram in December 2017.

On March 27, 2025, he announced that he had committed to attending the University of Arizona on The Pat McAfee Show. He won a gold medal with the United States team at the 2022 FIBA Under-17 World Cup in Spain. He was listed as a consensus five-star recruit and one of the top players in the 2025 recruiting class.

He is the youngest of seven children, and his father is former NFL player Todd Peat. One of his older brothers, Andrus Peat is an NFL player who has played for the New Orleans Saints .
