ABOUT KHALED BIN MOHAMED AL NAHYAN
Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi who was appointed to the role in March 2023. He is the eldest son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan , President of the United Arab Emirates. He is also the chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
In February 2016, he was appointed Head of National Security. In January 2017, he was named Deputy National Security Advisor.
In June 2022, he launched the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy, which includes plans to expand the emirate's industrial sector to AED172 billion, create 13,600 jobs, and increase Abu Dhabi's non-oil exports by 143%, by 2031. Additionally, he is the patron of Abu Dhabi Finance Week, a role which he assumed in October 2022.
He is married to Sheikha Fatima bint Suroor Al Nahyan. Together they have two daughters and one son, the names of which are Shamma bint Khaled Al Nahyan, Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, and Salama bint Khaled Al Nahyan.
In September 2021, he met with architect Frank Gehry at the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Museum site on Saadiyat Island.
