ABOUT KENNETH GRAHAME
Scottish writer who wrote the popular 1908 piece of children's literature The Wind in the Willows and the 1898 story The Reluctant Dragon which was later made into Disney films.
He worked at the Bank of England in 1879 and retired as their Secretary in 1908.
He won the Lewis Carroll Shelf Award for The Wind in the Willows in 1958.
He grew up with his grandmother and three siblings in Berkshire.
