ABOUT KAREN KAIN
Ballet dancer, Artistic Director of the National Ballet of Canada.
She trained for seven years at the National Ballet School of Candaa before being invited to join the National Ballet of Canada.
She won two silver medals at the second International Ballet Competition in Moscow in 1973.
She married actor Ross Petty in 1983.
She was the subject of paintings by legendary underground artist Andy Warhol .
