ABOUT JOSE GREGORIO HERRERA

Professional catcher that was first signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks as an international free agent in 2013. He was named one of the Diamondbacks' top 100 MLB prospects following the 2021 regular season.

He initially began his professional career playing for the AZL Diamondbacks rookie affiliate team. He was later sent to the Missoula Ospreys.

He made his official major league debut playing against the San Diego Padres on April 9, 2022. He finished the game 0 for 3.

He grew up living with his family in San Carlos, Venezuela.

He played alongside Madison Bumgarner as a member of the Diamondbacks during the 2022 regular season.
