ABOUT HAROLD HOLT
Australian politician who served in Parliament from 1949 to 1967 and was the 17th Prime Minister of Australia from 1966 to 1967.
He served as Treasurer of Australia from 1958 to 1966 and was responsible for establishing the Reserve Bank of Australia and converting the country to decimal currency.
He disappeared while swimming in December 1967 and was presumed to have drowned.
He married an old lover, Zara Dickins, in 1946 and adopted her three sons from a previous marriage.
He supported Lyndon B. Johnson during the Vietnam War and is known for having said "All the way with LBJ!"
