ABOUT GYULA DONATH
Hungarian sculptor who worked in classicism and Art Nouveau styles. He created the public monuments the Millennium of Hungary and the Imperial Jubilee.
He was born in Prest and studied in Vienna.
His huge bronze Turul on the railing of the Buda Castle is considered a symbol of Budapest.
He married and had two children.
He and Antal Zalai both worked in Budapest.
