ABOUT G. BRIAN KARAS
Author and illustrator with two decades worth of accolades in a three-decade-plus career of writing memorable children's books such as Like Butter on Pancakes and I Know an Old Lady, among 50-plus others.
After graduating from the Paier School of Art in 1979, he would work as a greeting card artist in the humor department for Hallmark Cards.
His first picture book The Holiday Handwriting School was published in 1991 by Robin Pulver.
He was born in Milford, Connecticut.
He and Marc Brown are both authors and illustrator's of children's books.
