Uruguayan professional football player who is known for his work with the Spanish club Real Madrid. He is also known for playing on the Uruguay national team as a central midfielder. He has amassed over 16 million followers on his Instagram as a result of his soccer fame.

His youth career began with the Penarol club in 2008. In 2016, she began playing for Real Madrid's youth club. The following year he joined their B Team and in 2017 he was loaned out to Deportivo La Coruna. That same year he began playing for the Uruguay national team.

He won the FIFA Under 20 World Cup Silver Ball during the 2017 season. He was loaned to Deportivo La Coruña from 2017 until 2018.

He was born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay. He began dating Mina Bonino in 2019, and they later got married. They had a son, Benicio, born on 20 February 2020. They welcomed their second son, Bautista, on June 25, 2023.

He played alongside Diego Godin , Carlos Sanchez , and Luis Suarez on Uruguay's national team.
