Though he also played the role of Reverend Lloyd Meechum in the situation comedy Mama's Family, this American screen actor is perhaps best known as Dr. Peter Silberman in the Terminator films. Also a voice actor, he contributed to Bonkers, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and numerous other animated series.
Before moving to Los Angeles and beginning his television acting career, he appeared in regional theater productions on the East Coast.
His voice acting credits include work on both the Monkey Island and World of Warcraft games. He amassed over 290 acting credits throughout his long career.
He was born and raised in New York City. His marriage to Carole Kean lasted from 1970 until her death in 2001.
He appeared with Chris Elliott in the 1990s television series Get a Life.
