Dame Andrea Jenkyns

ABOUT DAME ANDREA JENKYNS

Public figure and politician. She took office as the Mayor of Greater Lincolnshire in May of 2025. For nearly a decade before, she was the Conservative Party Member of Parliament for Morley and Outwood in West Yorkshire, England.

She grew up in a no-nonsense family in Yorkshire whose values shaped who she is today. Her father, Clifford, died from MRSA in 2011, which deeply shaped her later life and political motivations. She got into politics in 2015 when she defeated balls.html">Ed Balls in the seat of Morley and Outwood, gaining her international fame.

She is interviewed on many national media channels and participates as a TV panelist. She also writes articles for national newspapers, sings and writes songs, and formerly taught voice lessons. She released albums and toured before focusing on motherhood and politics.

She is married with one son and four dogs, which she enters in dog shows.
