Professional pitcher that drafted San Francisco Giants during the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft. He was acquired by the Pittsburgh Pirates via trade in May 2019.

He began his professional career playing for the Giants' rookie affiliate team the AZL Giants.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Atlanta Braves on May 30, 2016 as a member of the Giants.

He lives with his wife, Martha Kate, and their three children.

He played alongside Buster Posey as a member of the Giants' during the 2016 MLB season.
