Canadian author and journalist known for her books such as Every Summer After, Meet Me at the Lake, This Summer Will Be Different, and One Golden Summer. In addition to writing popular novels, she was a successful journalist in the Canadian media scene.

She earned a degree in journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University . Before her books grew in popularity, she worked as a journalist at organizations such as Refinery 29, The Globe and Mail, Chatelaine, and Toronto Life. Her debut novel, Every Summer After, was published in May 2022.

She grew up in areas around Sydney, Australia, and Ontario, Canada; both locations inspired the settings for some of her books.

She has shared that family members, such as her father and grandmother, have inspired aspects of her writing. She and her husband Marco have two sons.
