ABOUT BARRY FANTONI
A writer, jazz musician, and cartoonist, he is known especially for his comic pieces in Private Eye, a British satire magazine. He also published several books on the topic of Chinese astrology.
He was born into a family of Italian and Jewish heritage.
He became known for his Private Eye magazine odes to deceased celebrities. He wrote all of these humorous tributes under the pen name of E.J. Thribb.
His cousin, Roy Deverell, became a well-known film producer.
He was once a guest on Private Passions, a BBC Radio 3 music program hosted by Michael Berkeley .
