ABOUT ANTHONY BANDA

Professional pitcher who was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers during the tenth round of the 2012 MLB Draft. He was acquired by the Pittsburgh Pirates via waivers in August 2021. In 2024, he began playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers .

He began his professional career playing for the Brewers' rookie affiliate team the AZL Brewers.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Washington Nationals on July 22, 2017, as a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks .

He is a native of Corpus Christi, Texas. His parents are Frank and Danette Banda. He has four siblings.

Growing up, he credited Nolan Ryan as being his biggest baseball influence.
