Music producer and and musician who is widely recognized for having produced A-ha 's hit single "Take On Me." Some of his other production credits include work with the Hollies, Bow Wow Wow, the Dream Academy, and Squeeze.

He was a member of the short-lived new wave band james-baseballplayer.html">taylor.html">James Taylor Move.

He singed a record deal with Festival Records early in his career. He produced the 2002 Cliff Richard song "Let Me Be the One."

His daughter is a painter and his son works in the film industry.

He has worked extensively with Cliff Richard .
