ABOUT ALAN ALDA

Best known for his role as Hawkeye Pierce in the popular television series M*A*S*H and his portrayal of Arnold Vinick in The West Wing . His film credits include The Aviator , What Women Want , Tower Heist and The Longest Ride .

He worked on the WFUV radio station at Fordham University .

He has been a professor at SUNY Stony Brook.

He married Arlene Alda in 1957. Together they had three children.

He starred in Same Time, Next Year with Ellen Burstyn .
