Major League Baseball player, best known as an infielder for the Oakland Athletics.

He played college ball at Western Michigan University.

He made his Major League debut in 2008, as a pinch hitter for the Cincinnati Reds.

He was born in Park Ridge, Illinois. He married his wife Callie 2011. In 2014 they welcomed their first daughter Juliet. In 2017 they had a son named Adrian.

He and Carlos Gonzalez were both affiliated with the Oakland Athletics during their careers.
