Adam Johnson

ABOUT ADAM JOHNSON

Professional hockey player and athlete who is recognized for having played the center position for the Pittsburgh Penguins from the years 2018 through 2020. He previously played for the Malmö Redhawks, Augsburger Panther, and the Nottingham Panthers in Europe.

He graduated from Hibbing High School before playing in the United States Hockey League.

He signed an entry-level deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the year 2017. He joined the Malmö Redhawks of the Swedish Hockey League amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. He passed away after sustaining an ice skate laceration to the neck as the result of a collision with another player.

He was the son of Susan and Davey Johnson.

Both he and Jeff Carter played for the Pittsburgh Penguins.
